Schwarz received his degree PhD in performance psychology with an emphasis on motivation. He finds general psychology a fascinating and relatable subject as it provides insight human behavior. He enjoys the daily study of the subject matter such as neuroscience, memory, consciousness, motivation, disorders, and social psychology.

Outside of the classroom, Schwarz spends time with family and friends, hits the gym, and can be found in his office working on psychology and departmental stuff.
