Degree or Certificate Seeking
To obtain a certificate/degree from Midland College OR take one to two years of courses to transfer to another college or university. This fits a student who is new to college, a former MC student who has not attended MC in over a year, or student who has previously attended another college/university and is transferring to MC.
Steps to Enroll: Degree/Certificate Seeking
Dual Credit
To obtain academic transfer courses or a career-ready certificate while in high school. This fits a student currently attending a high school under an agreement with Midland College to offer courses that simultaneously award high school and college credit.
Transient
To obtain a few courses to transfer back to the college or university you are currently attending full-time. This fits a student who is currently attending and seeking a degree at another college or university.
International
To obtain a certificate/degree from Midland College. This fits a student from a country outside the United States, who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and wishes to study full-time at MC.
Military/Veteran
To obtain a certificate/degree from Midland College. This fits a student student who has served or is serving in the U.S. armed forces.
Transient students (non certificate/degree seeking at MC) that will be using Hazlewood to pay for classes, should complete the transient student steps for admission, but will need to contact the VA Coordinator for Hazlewood specific information.
Early Admission
To obtain academic transfer courses before graduating from high school. This fits a student who has not graduated from high school and wishes to enroll in a college course to earn college credit. Often, these students are home schooled or pursuing a course not included in the dual credit agreement between the ISD and MC.
Steps to Enroll/Early Admission
Casual Student
To obtain courses for personal interest/enrichment. This fits a student who is taking courses for personal interest only and is not seeking a degree or certificate.
