Midland College is proud to once again award over $1.4 million in scholarships to more than 1,000 students for the Fall 2025 semester, continuing a strong tradition of making higher education accessible and affordable for students across the Permian Basin.

Midland College, in partnership with Mil2Civ, the Texas Workforce Commission, and Midland Run Crew, will host its annual Veterans Day Celebration on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Physical Education (PE) Building on the Midland College campus.

During the October 14, 2025, meeting of the Midland College Board of Trustees, Vice President of Strategy and Analytics Tom Glenn reported that MC has reached the highest fall enrollment in its 50-year history. A total of 7,336 students are enrolled for Fall 2025, surpassing the previous record of 7,195 set in 2010.

Diamondback Energy and Midland College are launching the Diamondback DNA Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Mentorship Program. This program aims to increase the number of credentialed I&E technicians in the Permian Basin. Technicians fulfill a critical oil and gas industry role to ensure safe and efficient operation of complex equipment and control systems.
