The time needed to pass your GED® test will depend on you! If you enroll in classes, you will be required to commit to a minimum of 40 hours of attendance. The length of time you require will depend on how much you already know, how much you need to review and learn, and on the amount of effort you are willing to give. You need to plan to complete and pass all four tests with a combined score of 580 minimum.
Each student is tested on his knowledge in reading, writing, and math during orientation. The short assessment will show what skills you have already mastered, and what skills need to be perfected. Students will be tested periodically through the course to check on the progress each student is making.
When you have shown sufficient progress, you will have the opportunity to take a practice test to determine if you are ready for the official test.
Come to class as often as possible - You will learn faster and better.
Tell others about the class - They may enroll with you and help you study.
Talk to your teacher if you can no longer come to class.
Tell the teacher when you take the GED® test.
There is a required GED textbook that will need to be purchased. All supporting study material will be provided to you.
