Child Care Centers
Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide high-quality, age-appropriate education by building a strong foundation that fosters children's future growth and development. This program examines the needs of the children, families, school district, and community we serve.
The Children’s Center is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services, Child Care Licensing (CCL), and is recognized as a Rising Star 4-Star Provider through the Texas Workforce Commission/Workforce Solutions.
Goals
Each childcare center's overall goal is to enhance each child's growth and development to their most significant potential. We believe that this is best accomplished within an early childhood education program that does the following:
- Provide a safe, healthy, and stimulating physical environment. We consider each child's developmental needs and interests, as well as the needs and interests of the entire classroom.
- Offer a curriculum that focuses on the “process” of learning rather than the “finished product.”
- Provide an environment that encourages each child to assume responsibility and develop independence.
- Encourage the acquisition and use of problem-solving skills.
- Offer the opportunity to express and grow in creativity.
- Help a child learn to express themself in socially acceptable ways.
- Provide opportunities to enhance the child’s self-esteem.
- Provide a variety of social and educational experiences.
- Provide an environment conducive to kindergarten readiness.
- Encourage parent/guardian involvement and supports the family in its child-rearing role.
