Description

 

Ambassadors

MC Ambassadors are students actively involved in campus activities. They attend sporting events, lecture events, and performing arts programs; promote campus leadership; and meet new people. Their duties include volunteering for campus events, gaining leadership skills, and having a great time while promoting Midland College.

Baptist Student Ministry


The Baptist Student Ministry is a great place to connect with people and grow in your faith at Midland College. Our passion is sharing the love of Jesus Christ to those on campus.

Catholic Student Association of Midland (CSAM)

We are the Catholic organization of young adults at Midland College aiming to build strong friendships; fun community life; and personal dynamic faith. We bring Christ to our college life to be fully alive and invite others to do the same. 

Chaps Gaming Club (CGC)

Chaps Gaming Club (CGC) is a club for fans of video games and eSports who want a fun place to experience fandom and friendship. This club is for anyone looking to hang out and play video games together. We also host special events on campus such as video game tournaments.

Chemistry Club

Chemistry Club is the student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the largest organization for chemists and chemical engineers. We promote outreach activities to create awareness of science in our community. We partner with Keep Midland Beautiful for Earth Day activities and Petroleum Museum for Halloween and Family Science Day Events. We encourage our members to develop leadership skills by organizing fundraising and speaker series. Students of all majors are welcome to meetings and events.

Engineering Club

Provide social and networking opportunities to pre-engineering students while promoting academic support and excellence.

International Student Club

The International Student Club (ISC) is dedicated to promoting the international spirit among our fellow students, the campus community and the local community at large, and to providing opportunities to learn about and experience local cultures and geographies. Membership is open to any Midland College student or employee who has an interest in the student life issues of international students. There are no membership dues.

LGBTQ+ 

The LGBTQ+ Club provides a safe space for all LGBTQ+ students and their allies and offers relevant education for club members and non-members. The club meets on Thursday afternoons at 2:30 in the Club Room (134) of the student center to talk and laugh, plan events, and enjoy snacks and games. Any member of the Midland College community is eligible to join this club. Guests who are not Midland College students or employees may attend meetings and events.

MC Aggie Club

The purpose of the MC Aggie Club shall be to foster and promote the Aggie Spirit within Midland College. The organization aims to serve students who are co-enrolled in or considering transfer to Texas A&M University, as well as to establish connections with Texas A&M University alumni, faculty, staff, and programs.

Sigma Kappa Delta

Sigma Kappa Delta is a National English Honor Society dedicated to promoting love of literature on two year college campuses and across communities. Eligible students participate in service projects on campus and within the community, plan social events on campus, and enjoy leadership opportunities.

Sonography Club

The Sonography Club is dedicated to fostering inter-cohort collaboration amongst Sonography students to promote the mission and values of the Midland College Sonography Program and Midland College. This club provides opportunities for Sonography students to inform and educate the community on the field of Sonography, while providing it's members with resources to promote their education and career aspirations. Membership is open to any currently enrolled Sonography student, once accepted into the Sonography Program.

Speech Club

The Speech Club offers students many opportunities to develop communication skills such as public speaking, interpersonal relationships, leadership, teamwork, and career preparation. The club also enjoys social activities and service in the community.

Student Government Association (SGA)

Provides numerous leadership opportunities, organizes and assists with extracurricular activities, and participates in regional and statewide student government associations.

MC Students

what you need to start a new club or organization:

  • Minimum of 7 currently enrolled Midland College students.

  • Full-time faculty or staff member of Midland College to serve as your advisor. Student Activities requires 1 advisor per 30 students in your organization. (Advisors must be at least 21 years of age and must not be a current student of Midland College.)

  • Constitution and/or bylaws that include your organization's mission statement. Your mission statement must relate to the Midland College Mission Statement.

  • All advisors and officers of organizations must attend Risk Management, as per TEX ED. CODE § 51.9361.
