Vanessa’s inspiration to teach came from Midland College computer graphics instructors who continue to be her role models. She prefers to teach in a traditional classroom because she gets to know the students and learns how they learn. She customizes the course content as much as possible to spike their interest and help them succeed.

She enjoys cooking, gardening, and working with animals. She also likes to draw, design, and paint. She likes learning new skills while enhancing existing ones. Her favorite vacation spot is Kailua – Kona, Hawaii, the Big Island, because it has 8 of Hawaii’s 10 ecosystems. Visitors can ski in the morning, swim with the dolphins in the afternoon, and view the mantas at night.Instructor Vitae (pdf)
