On November 19, 2024, the Midland College administration presented the Board of Trustees a three-year campus expansion and revitalization plan, including a significant expansion of its Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and facilities--a move demanded by students, energy companies, healthcare providers, and community leaders. The Board unanimously approved a proposal from Pfluger Architects to provide bond exploration services to enhance communications planning and community engagement. This significant step is part of MC's bold vision to address regional workforce needs and expand educational opportunities through a transformative plan.
Midland College is bringing the community together for an evening focused on women's well-being and community spirit on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The event will kick off with a Women's Well-Being Resource Fair from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center, featuring over 40 local organizations and Midland College resources.
Hunter Haynie credits MC with building his confidence and teaching him study skills and common sense. Now he has a fulfilling career working for United Way Midland and helping area nonprofit agencies.
On November 9, Midland College held its annual Veterans Day Celebration, uniting veterans, families, and community members in honoring the service of military personnel. The event included inspiring speakers, heartfelt tributes to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, a 5K and fun run, as well as a job and resource fair tailored for veterans in the Permian Basin.
