Education Pathway
The demand for qualified teachers has never been greater in our region. The Midland
College and UT Permian Basin Education program was developed to answer that call.
This partnership allows students to earn their Associate's at MC and then seamlessly
transfer during their last semester to UTPB to earn their Bachelor of Arts in Education.
Benefits to students include:
- A clear and seamless pathway from anywhere students enter the pathway at Midland College straight to completing a bachelor's degree at UTPB
- Access to scholarships designated for the educator pathway
- Early and continuous advising through student's academic plan
- Access to practical learning experiences through observation hours at Midland College's state-of-the-art Pre-K Academy and training site
- Shared faculty allows for the ability to offer in-person classes at MC and hybrid class options for maximum flexibility for local students
