This online course serves as a comprehensive guide for the remediation and restoration of sites affected by hydrocarbon releases (such as crude oil, diesel, and condensate) and produced water or saltwater in an oil and gas exploration and production setting. It functions as a standard operating procedure (SOP) while also providing the scientific foundation for these processes. The course begins with basic concepts and progresses to more advanced topics, making it accessible to individuals with no specific educational or experience background. It is designed for a wide audience, including EHS personnel from large oil and gas companies, small producers, environmental consultants, state and federal regulators, oil and gas service companies, pipeline company personnel, environmental attorneys, and landowners.
