In accordance with federal regulations set forth by The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. Below is a summary of consumer information that must be made available to all students at Midland College (MC).
College Navigator
The College Navigator for Midland College contains information compiled by the National Center for Education Statistics such as student body diversity, price of attendance, net price calculator, completion, graduation and transfer-out rates and retention rates.
Constitution Day
In order to comply with the federal regulation requiring the development of educational programming to celebrate Constitution Day on September 17th of each year, Midland College’s Student Government provides faculty, students and staff with access to U.S. Constitution Day educational and media resources, and free pocket size U.S. Constitution books.

EQUITY IN ATHLETICS DISCLOSURE ACT
Each year, as part of the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act, MC submits a federally mandated Equity in Athletic Report (EAR), which includes demographic, expense and revenue information on its intercollegiate athletic program. FEDERAL COPYRIGHT LAWS
Copyright infringement is the act of exercising, without permission or legal authority, one or more of the exclusive rights granted to the copyright owner under section 106 of the Copyright Act (Title 17 of the United States Code). These rights include the right to reproduce or distribute a copyrighted work. In the file-sharing context, downloading or uploading substantial parts of a copyrighted work without authority constitutes an infringement.
Penalties for copyright infringement include civil and criminal penalties. In general, anyone found liable for civil copyright infringement may be ordered to pay either actual damages or "statutory" damages affixed at not less than $750 and not more than $30,000 per work infringed. For "willful" infringement, a court may award up to $150,000 per work infringed. A court can, in its discretion, also assess costs and attorneys' fees. Willful copyright infringement can also result in criminal penalties, including imprisonment of up to five years and fines of up to $250,000 per offense. For additional resources, visit the links below.

Safety and Security
The MCPD gathers data from around the campus along with their own data and the statistics are prepared and distributed in the Annual Security Report (ASR) required by the Clery Act. Along with the crime statistics, the ASR includes Timely Warnings, Missing Person Notification Policy, Fire Safety Report and Fire Log.

Associate Degrees

Bachelor Degrees
Midland College is privileged to be one of the few community colleges in Texas to offer a four-year degree. At this time, we offer Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Management, Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Service Management, and Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.
Certificates

Immunization Policy
As of January 1, 2014, all entering students under the age of 22 at an institution of higher education are required to show proof of an initial meningococcal vaccination or a booster dose during the five-year period prior to enrolling. More information at Midland College Policy FFA(LEGAL)

Student Privacy
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords eligible students certain rights with respect to their education records. An “eligible student” under FERPA is a student who is 18 years of age or older or who attends a postsecondary institution.

Withdrawal Policy
Course drops that occur after the census date require completion of the Course Withdrawal form and students will receive a grade of “W” for that course. It is important to know the implications that may occur if you choose to withdraw from a course. You can read more about the Course Withdrawal Policy in the MC catalog.
Textbooks
The Midland College Bookstore located in the Scharbauer Student Center, provides textbook information (including ISBN and retail price, when available) for courses listed in the course schedule each semester. This information can be accessed at the MC Bookstore's website (opens external site in new window) OR current students can access through My MC Portal.
